How Do We Do It

Making Corrugated and Solid Board products at Cardworks

Our process is different to most other POS companies and is manufactured in a different way

  • We have the ability to print digitally directly to thick up to 600 micron Card in small format
  • We produce short runs digitally and longer runs by mounting Litho printed sheets to board
  • Apply a gloss or Matt Thermal laminate for strength durability and enhanced looks
  • Mount the sheets to Corrugated or solid Board
  • Die-cut on a variety of machines to suit the job

This process produces a different look and for short run products is made in a different way

We first print on a 170 gm coated paper with high resolution images up to 2400 dpi to give a litho printed look. (Photo of printers working)

We apply a thin film laminate to the sheets before mounting this adds the durability and a high quality feel (Laminator working)(phot of self adhesive laminate vs our laminate)

The prints are mounted to the corrugated so giving a thicker top sheet this is stronger than normal typically about 300gm total

We also mount to solid board for leaflet dispensers and display boards (photos of solid board dispensers)

We use the same technique for longer runs but mount litho printed sheets

The finished sheet shows the flute much less than products that are directly printed to the board (Photo of e flute)

The surface has a laminated gloss or matt finish which is more durable and more attractive than unlaminated (Matt and gloss finish plus unlaminated )

The laminate ensures that the ink doesn’t rub off or scratch easily or crack particularly on the folds ( Photo of creases from direct print and laminated)

The high quality finish that our products have helps sell your product( finished products)

Our digital printed products look very similar to a litho print finish (litho printed next to one of ours digitally printed)
